What we publish

  • Creative testing and ad iteration on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Paid social strategy and performance marketing
  • Short-form video strategy and measurement, past views and likes, down to leads, sales, and retention
  • Landing page and funnel optimization
  • Ad analytics, attribution, and reporting
  • E-commerce and SaaS growth marketing
  • Campaign breakdowns with real numbers

A strong post teaches one specific lesson with a result attached. If it could run on any marketing blog with the logo swapped, it is not for us.

What we don't accept

Competing or overlapping services

We do not publish contributors or content that promote businesses offering what ShortVids offers:

  • Video production, video editing, or video ad agencies
  • UGC and creator marketplaces or agencies
  • Ad creative agencies and freelance creative marketplaces
  • AI video generation or ad creation tools that replace video production services
  • Any post that compares, ranks, or recommends alternatives to ShortVids

If you are unsure whether your business falls into one of these, ask before you write.

Also not accepted

  • Promotional posts disguised as articles
  • Generic "why video matters" overviews and tool listicles with no campaign behind them
  • Previously published content, including on your own blog, Medium, or LinkedIn
  • Spun, scraped, plagiarized, or unedited AI-generated content. AI-assisted drafts are fine only if the examples and results are yours.
  • Articles that criticize named companies or individuals
  • Content that has no value for our readers beyond the link
  • Gambling, adult, pharmaceutical, crypto or financial-scheme, or other low-quality or illegal niches

Quality standards

Original
Written for ShortVids and not published elsewhere.
First-hand
Based on work you have actually done. Show what you did, what changed, and over what period.
Length
1,200 to 2,000 words. Depth matters more than the count.
Structure
A strong intro that answers the reader's question quickly, clear subheadings, short paragraphs, and a conclusion with a takeaway.
Evidence
Include examples, screenshots, data, or step-by-step instructions. Link the original source for every statistic or quote.
Written for people
Optimize for search where it fits, but never at the expense of readability.
Author bio
50 to 80 words, a headshot, and one link.
  • Up to 3 links to your own site in the article. This includes any link in your author bio.
  • Each link must be contextual, placed in the body where it adds value, and point to a relevant page such as a blog post, guide, case study, or resource.
  • Use natural anchor text only. No exact-match keyword stuffing.
  • Do not link to homepages, contact forms, or sales pages in the body.
  • Do not link to businesses that compete with ShortVids.
  • Links to credible third-party sources are encouraged and do not count toward the limit.
  • We may edit, move, or remove links that are irrelevant, promotional, or unnatural.
  • Links in paid or exchange placements are tagged sponsored or nofollow.

Images and screenshots

Images must be your own, properly licensed, or used with permission. Send them as separate files, at least 1,200 px wide. Screenshots and charts that support your points are especially welcome.

Collaboration options

We work with contributors in three ways:

  • Paid guest posts

  • Guest post exchanges

We publish on each other's websites.

  • Other backlink collaborations

Every inquiry is handled individually.

How it works

  1. Send your pitch through the form below. A topic idea is enough. Do not send a full draft yet.
  2. We reply within 5 to 7 business days if your pitch is a fit.
  3. Once the topic is approved, you send the full draft.
  4. We review, edit, and agree on placement terms.

Editorial review and rights

  • Submission does not guarantee publication. We review topic fit, originality, accuracy, usefulness, and link quality.
  • We may edit for grammar, clarity, formatting, SEO, and internal linking. We will check with you on any change that affects meaning.
  • We may add internal links and relevant ShortVids resources or calls to action to your post.
  • We may update posts over time for accuracy.
  • You keep ownership of your work and grant ShortVids the right to publish and maintain it on shortvids.co. Please do not republish it elsewhere, including on your own site.
  • Placement terms, including any fees, are discussed individually after we review your submission. Filling out the form does not commit either side to anything.
  • Partnership and sponsorship inquiries are handled separately from editorial submissions.
