Still Any Query Left?

What’s the turnaround time?

Short-form videos are delivered within 24 hours. Long-form edits take 48–72 hours

How do I submit footage?

Via a shared Google Drive or Dropbox folder. You’ll also have a Trello board for all requests.

What editing software do you use?

We primarily use Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final CapCut according to your content.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract. To cancel, notify us (via your Project or Account Manager, by email at [email protected], or through your Stripe billing page) at least 7 days before your renewal date. Charged subscription fees are non-refundable, and cancellations are not processed within the last 4 days before renewal.

Is My Subscription Really Unlimited?

Yes, there’s no cap on how many requests you can submit into your queue over your subscription’s lifetime. What’s capped is how many requests can be in active production at the same time, based on your plan:

  • Startup, 1 active request at a time
  • Growth, 3 active requests at a time
  • Creator, 5 active requests at a time

Once an active request is delivered, the next item in your queue moves into production. This is the same model used across every unlimited creative-subscription service, output scales with your plan tier, not with how fast you can submit new briefs.

Do You Have Credit Rollover?

Yes. If you’ve purchased extra videos beyond your existing video needs and ongoing subscription, any unused ones roll over for a maximum of 6 months. Elapsed subscription days are not rolled over.

Can I Combine Multiple Videos Into One Request to Get Around My Plan's Limit?

No. A request that bundles what are functionally multiple distinct deliverables (different scripts, different audiences, different formats, or content that would normally ship as separate videos) will be identified by your Project Manager and split into separate requests, each occupying its own slot in your active request count.

This applies retroactively if identified mid-production, the remaining unstarted portions re-enter the queue as their own requests rather than continuing to occupy a single slot.

Do Revisions Count Against My Active Request Slots?

Revisions on an in-progress active request do not consume an additional slot. Revision rounds included per video vary by plan tier, for example, Startup: 2, Growth: 3, Creator: 4.

Once a video is delivered and either approved or 5 business days pass with no revision request, further changes are treated as a new request.

What Happens if I Repeatedly Try to Exceed My Plan's Active Request Limit?

Requests beyond your plan’s active request capacity are automatically queued, not rejected. However, repeated attempts to structure requests specifically to bypass tier limits may result in your account being flagged for review, and in continued cases, suspension of new request submissions until resolved with your Account Manager.

This protects production capacity for all customers on shared plan tiers.

Can I Resell or White-Label ShortVids' Work Under My Own Brand?

Yes. Agency and reseller clients can present final videos to their end clients under their own brand name. We’re also happy to help you build your portfolio through our years of experience so you can close more business.

How Does the Cancellation Process Work?

There are 3 ways to request cancellation of your subscription before your next scheduled billing date. Please note that charged subscription fees are non-refundable.

  • Via your team: Reach out to your assigned Project Manager or Account Manager so we can help you effectively.
  • Via email: Email us at [email protected] from your registered email, or mention your registered account with us, and our team member will help you proactively.
  • Via billing page: We use Stripe for billing, so as a customer you have a dedicated billing management page.

Once a cancellation request is raised, we take 3 days to pause the account and complete the necessary accounting process.

What Is the Notice Period for Cancellation?

If you do not wish to continue with your subscription, you must notify us through any of the cancellation methods at least 7 days before your subscription renewal date. This is due to the creative nature of the projects.

For example, if your subscription renews on the 30th of every month, please ensure your notice is shared by the 23rd at the latest. This helps us plan the team more efficiently. Refunds and cancellations are not executed within the last 4 days before renewal.

How Does Ownership of the Edited Videos Work?

If you’re a brand or business owner, you own the complete rights to the final edited video, you can have it changed, re-edited, and post it on the platform of your choice. ShortVids retains creative showcase rights, which simply means we can present the edited videos produced by our team in our portfolio, showcase, and social media pages.

Do You Sign Contracts or NDAs?

ShortVids runs on a creative-first, legal-second model, we trust our customers first and the contracts second. All our services are governed by the ShortVids Terms of Service. We do not sign any exclusive agreements, contracts, or service disclosures beyond the Terms of Service published on the website.

What Kinds of Requests Will You Decline?

ShortVids reviews all requests case by case and reserves the right to decline any content that conflicts with our brand values, involves unlicensed third-party material, makes unsubstantiated regulated-industry claims (medical, financial, legal), or falls outside our production capabilities.

We intentionally don’t publish an exhaustive list, content risk evolves, and a fixed list becomes a checklist for working around it rather than a genuine guardrail. Your Project Manager will flag any concern directly rather than silently producing or silently rejecting a request.

If I Submit Requests After Filing a Cancellation Notice, Are They Guaranteed Delivery?

No. Any request that is already an active request (in production) before your cancellation notice is filed will be completed and delivered. Any new request submitted after a cancellation notice is filed, including during your 7-day notice period, is not guaranteed production or delivery, regardless of billing status through your final date.

This applies specifically to prevent submitting a backlog of work expecting free delivery after your account closes.

What Happens to Queued (Not-Yet-Started) Requests if I Cancel?

They’re closed and not carried forward, unless you resubscribe within 30 days, in which case they may be reinstated at our discretion.

Can ShortVids Suspend or Terminate My Account?

Yes, for repeated attempts to circumvent active request limits, non-payment beyond the grace period, or submission of content outside our scope. We’ll always notify your Account Manager contact first where the issue is resolvable.

What Happens if My Payment Fails or I File a Chargeback?

A 5-day grace period begins from the failed payment date. During this period:

  • No new deliverables are produced or released.
  • Your commercial usage rights to previously delivered videos are suspended, you may not use, publish, or distribute delivered work commercially until payment is resolved.
  • Any video completed during the grace period is held and not released until the account is brought current.

If payment isn’t resolved within the 5-day window, we reserve the right to pause video deliveries and suspend access to creative folders and projects.

What Do I Need to Provide for a Request to Enter the Queue?

Raw footage or source assets, a brief describing the goal/audience/tone, and confirmation that you own or are licensed to use all footage, music, and third-party assets submitted. Incomplete requests are held in “Needs Info” status and do not consume queue priority until completed.

What Happens if My Brief Is Vague or Incomplete?

Your editor makes reasonable creative judgment calls to proceed rather than pausing to chase every detail. Revision rounds exist specifically to course-correct from there.

Can I Change the Brief Mid-Production?

Before production starts, yes. Once an editor has begun work, brief changes are treated as a revision request rather than a restart.

Who Owns the Final Edited Video?

Once delivered and paid for, you own full rights to the final video, modify it, re-edit it, and publish it anywhere, permanently.

Do I Own the Raw Project / Source Files?

Yes, source/project files are included across all plan tiers on delivery.

Does ShortVids Showcase My Videos in Its Own Portfolio or Marketing?

By default, yes, ShortVids retains creative showcase rights across all client work. If your brand has confidentiality requirements (common for healthcare, finance, legal, or pre-launch clients), you can request exclusion in writing to your Account Manager before your first delivery, and we’ll flag your account accordingly. This is opt-out, not automatic, so if it matters to your business, raise it early.

Who Is Responsible if Footage, Music, or Images I Submit Are Copyrighted or Unlicensed?

You are. Submitting an asset to ShortVids confirms that you own it or hold a valid commercial license. ShortVids does not verify third-party rights on client-submitted material, and you agree to indemnify ShortVids against any claim, takedown, or damages arising from unlicensed content you provided.

Am I Required to Disclose That ShortVids Produced the Work?

No, you are not required to disclose ShortVids as the production source to your end clients. However, ShortVids is not responsible for maintaining that confidentiality on your behalf: if your own client discovers the production relationship through means outside ShortVids’ control (e.g., your own communications, invoicing, or team disclosures), that is not a ShortVids breach.

If you need a formal mutual confidentiality agreement covering how the relationship is referenced by both parties, request one from your Account Manager, this is available for agency/reseller accounts on request, not automatically.

Can I Represent ShortVids' Case Studies or Portfolio Work as My Own Capabilities When Pitching New Business?

No. You may use final delivered videos with your own clients, but ShortVids-produced case studies, samples, and pitch materials remain ShortVids IP and may not be represented as your own in-house creative capability when pitching new prospects.

Who Do I Talk to About My Project?

Your assigned Project Manager or Account Manager, your single point of contact for briefs, feedback, revisions, and escalations.

What Methods Are Available for Communication With Team Members?

We support Slack as the primary method of communication. Alternatively, we use email and WhatsApp (on a very limited basis) for discussions.

Can I Contact My Editor Directly?

No. All creative direction goes through your Project Manager or Account Manager. This keeps your editor focused on production and keeps every instruction logged in one place instead of scattered across channels.

Do You Have Access to My Business's Internal Data or Systems?

No, only what you explicitly submit per request. We don’t access your internal tools, CRMs, or ad accounts unless a specific request requires temporary, scoped access that you’ve granted.
